Not always. A battery is not required for every home. Under PG&E’s NEM 3.0 rules the economics of solar often improve with a battery, because exported power is worth much less than it used to be — but whether that holds for you depends on your usage and your rate plan. We size to what you actually use and will tell you when a battery does not pencil out.

We are a Tesla Certified Installer, and we install and service Enphase and FranklinWH battery systems. Because our own electricians design the system and our own employees install it, the battery is wired to your panel correctly the first time — and we are still here afterwards if it needs service.
